ldparker Posted April 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2005 Hi Everybody: Tavelling on TP September 1, 2005. Enjoy horseback riding and wondering if there are any of you have recent experiences on the islands. Looking for a half-day kind of excursion, perhaps with lunch. Any help would be appreciated. KarenandDavid Posted April 29, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2005 My husband and I did the horseback riding on Raitea with Sebastien as our guide. The route took us along the coast road a little and up a mountain. The view would have been marvellous if it had been a clear day. There is no oppurtunity to get above a walking pace but a peaceful way to view the island. The horses are well cared for and have English saddles. We were back after a couple of hours enabling us to go by water taxi for $25 pax to a little motu for snorkelling that we found in the visitors' centre. Hope that helps
