TheBrowns Posted February 24, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2012 And i cant wait to be back on it this year i am really worried about my kids not having a kids club to hang out in. Last year my twins who were 12 were ok they had the kids club to hang at but my son who is 12 seemed lost :(. They didn't seem to have organised activities for this age group.. How did you parents that have kids 12 plus cope?
njmomof2 Posted February 24, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2012 My older son is now 14 but our last cruise on Liberty he was 12 turning 13. I have to say that he spent almost no time at the club, preferring to meet up with other kids his age and doing their own thing. He tends to spend most of his spare time on the flowrider, and he was lucky enough to meet up with some boys his age. We're going on Freedom in April and he's now 14. I'm trying to hook him up with other kids his age on our M&G board, and hopefully he'll find people along the way. But he thinks that the club for older kids is more geared to "older" kids and the younger end of the group doesn't really have a place. So he does his own thing. My younger one (who is 9.5) has not liked the club since he was 5 and will not go back. So hopefully he'll meet some kids who will want to try it and maybe he'll give it another go. Otherwise, he'll be my companion for the week (unless his brother takes him off my hands for a bit).
