IF Carnival stops PV, what other ports available?

I think where Zihaut lost out is that it is so far south, it takes too long to get there. I did the Spirit itinerary several times that included Zihaut and it was my favorite stop. That was an 8 day cruise, 2 days to Acapulco and 2 days back to San Diego from Manzanillo.

I did that cruise also on the SPIRIT. One of my favorite itineraries. Too bad the gangsters are ruining it. Yes, the distance disqualifies it for a 7-dayer.:(

This one is done March, April, May, October

Nice sampler for those that haven't been to CA before. As a former CA resident, you won't ever find me spending cruise money for that - especially Princess cruise money.

I don't think you'll find many people from the west coast do this itinerary. At least the MR gets the locals down to another country.

I suppose you could say the same for the Key West/Bahamas cruises for Floridians and they seem to do pretty good.

We went to La Paz in October with Carnival Spirit. All we saw was getting off there we a bunch of overpriced canopys to buy suviners. Although it was a great cruise, La Paz was boring. I would rather spend 3 days in Cabo than go back there

Did you ride the free buses into town? Great restaurants, nice and quiet.

As far as going to Canada, we did that when the Swine Flu deal cancelled all of Mexico. It was fabulous and would do it again in a heartbeat. We live in CA and we don't fly so needless to say we are reallllllllly sick of Cabo. PV, Mazatlan, Ixtapa, Acapulo all fabulous and miss going there
