Memorial Day cruises

I have heard that Carnival cruises get a bit more rowdy during spring break. Does the same hold true for Memorial Day weekend? We're doing a 7 day cruise,leaving the 27th and some kids may be finished school. I'm suddenly worried that we've ended up on a cruise with a serious party ambiance.

We cruised Memorial Day in 2010 (on the Carnival Fantasy), and it wasn't rowdy at all. There were more kids on the boat than our other cruises when school was in. It was also a 6 day cruise so that probably had something to do with it, I'm sure the 3-4 day ones have more college kids because they're shorter and cheaper.

I was worried about the same thing...but I think the majority of schools in the area will still be in session so we might have a reprieve. If it were the next week, all bets would be off though. On the bright side, at least it isn't spring break. :eek:
