Eastern Caribbean on the Conquest

How are the seas sailing out of New Orleans (Key West/Bahamas) the first part of February? I am thinking about a cruise the week before Mardi Gras 2013, but was worried a cruise might be too rough.........any opinions?

Thought I would give you a bump back to the top. :D I've never cruised out of NO in February. We usually sail out of NO in October or November.

We sailed out of NOLA the 3rd week of January and it was very smooth, hardly felt any movement. That was western, but I'd imagine eastern wouldn't be much different.

I would like to know as well. I am doing the Eastern Route the 1st week in January 2013.

We did the eastern in early March last year , and it was fine.

We did that cruise and it was terrible! Doesn't Carnival believe in stabelizers on their ships? If the ship can't sail in rough waters without being as bad as this was, they shouldn't sail! Another thing, leaving from NO at that time of the year takes away 2 cruise days. The first and the last, it's cold there then!!!!!!!!
