rspro Posted February 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2012 It's day 3 and we have to get up earlier - unlike a day at sea. Since we have been to Cozumel, our day 3 port many times, we are not doing a tour today. We're just heading out on our own with the ultimate goal of walking down the main street and then having a delightful lunch at Pancho's Backyard. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Presented for you review on http://www.proszowski.com are the Celebrity Dailies for today, dining, activities and two other guides. Today we had breakfast delivered to the room - everything served as ordered and without the hustle and bustle of the buffet. This also comes with the extra benefit of not having to set an alarm - if you are OK with a knock on the door or a phone call ahead to announce that breakfast is imminent. Sleep until the very last second and then get up to a steaming pot of coffee. Vacation indeed! Cozumel is a very easy port to navigate on your own, the only real decisions are based on which dock the cruise ship berths at. We were at the International Pier and it is not within walking distance of the shopping boulevard. The various taxi drivers will probably exagerate the distance (3 miles, 4 miles, 5 miles), but regardless, taxis are a must. Celebrity organizes those in a shuttle service for free or if you want to arrange one on your own, we walked a bit out of port and got driven into town for $8. Cozumel is a typical Mexican tourist town that takes tourism seriously. It is mostly clean, well maintained and appears safe. We even drink the margaritas there. After all this, back to the ship for a siesta. From the main drag back to the ship is 10-15 minutes tops so you can stay fairly late enjoying the port. Once back on board enjoy some steel drum music and then dancing before late seating dinner and then a fun poolside party on Deck 12 after 10PM. Shooraq Posted February 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2012 I'm reading too. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of room service for breakfast a couple of times for early ports in May on this ship!
