Some Epic Questions

To clear up the cirque issue, I was standard seating and sat upstairs (front of queue get to sit upstairs!) Premium seating is the closest to the centre stage. (Well this was the case on my cruise unless the rules have recently changed)

On our cruise last week, upstairs was premium, but the 'front' seats (closest to the center stage) downstairs were also premium. We were in seats 2 and 3 at a downstairs table, and were considered premium. I'm not sure how far down the table from the stage you could be and still be premium.

The booths along the back on the main floor are now the regular seats and everything else is premium. I would spring for premium seating and sit upstairs.

Seriously??? That explains why on our Dec. cruise they told us to sit in the then "premium" cost seating in the back booths even though we booked standard upstairs. We declined & said we wanted to be upstairs. The other couple we were with came later than us & did take the booth. They liked it because they were the only ones seated there and had room to stretch out but that won't be the case once they make those the only standard seating options. That's a bummer : (

Just called CAS- the cards that get you free drinks while playing have been discontinued as of last month. You can still get a card to use while you play where if you play enough, you earn free stuff (OBC, etc)

Hmmm....I wonder what NCL will do in a case like mine.

I received a free cruise offer through the Tropicana in Atlantic City. My cruise is booked and we are leaving in three weeks. On the certificate it says .....What Else Do I Get? Each guest will recieve a complimentary drink card to be used while playing in the casino.

Already gave my suggestion on the other thread you posted this on.

Have a great cruise.

Hi LynneL - Other than lots of 'stretch' room which my husband will like, how is the view of the show from the booths? We originally booked standard seating based on cruise critic comments that it included the balcony. I agree - I think NCL noticed how everyone like the balcony and not that is the best of the premium seats......

Just returned off the Epic yesterday.

To clear up the Cirque question: Yes, recent changes are that now only Premium seating gets seats in the balcony or front tables on main level. The concierge had a difficult time switching us from Regular to Premium - I needed balcony as I have a neck injury that prevents me from looking up. She was able to pull some strings and upgrade the tickets - our only other choice would have been to cancel, as conflicting reservations precluded seeing the show on any other date. Don't miss this show - I normally do NOT like cruise ship entertainment nor do I like Cirque shows in Vegas, but was thrilled with this one.

Lots of confusion about the drink cards and Harrah's vs CAS etc, and I can see why any changes are being made. The casino on the Epic was the busiest of any casino I have ever seen on any ship BY FAR. There was often a wait for some machines and tables. More than half of the players had the drink card on the first night. There were hundreds of players making 10c bets and ordering premium drinks all over the casino - what a mess. For serious players (especially on slots) it should not be an issue - even if you don't have the drink card at sailing (we did as comped CAS guests), I was able to earn the 1500 required points within the first two or three hours ($3 pulls on Quick Hits). I for one would like to see the drink cards pulled for at least TR Gold members - anyone can walk into a casino and get a Gold card, and one can reach Platinum in a single evening.

Got this offer in the mail yesterday. Can you give me some details? Do we only pay for fees/taxes? Do you get to chose which crusie you want to take? Is there some kind of sales pitch you have to sit through? Is it for inside cabin only? One person only or per cabin? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
