Bruin Steve Posted March 5, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Southwest Airlines won't let me book LAX to Hobby to LAX for December quite yet, but, looking ahead... They appear to have three nonstops Hobby to LAX: At 12:50 pm....at 3:30 pm ...and at 8:10 pm... Each flight is about 3 and a half hours to 3:35... Arriving in Galveston on a Sunday morning--December 23... Normally, I'd be tempted to book the 12:50 flight, figuring that is enough time to get off the ship, get to Hobby, and check in... Of course, a few comments about possible delays in Galveston due to fog have me a bit freaked out... How likely is this and how long are the delays, typically? Should I book the 3:30 instead and count on probably sitting around the terminal killing time?
Galveston Cruiser Posted March 5, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2012 Unfortunately one cannot predict weather or any other malfunction that could make you or the ship late. 12:50pm leaves plenty of time under normal circumstances. Only you can make that decision and get trip insurance. Delays can occur anywhere at anytime.
melika091900 Posted March 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2012 we got off yesterday at 730a self assist, we were in houston near the airport by 830a but NO FOG... perfect weather, i would go for the 330p flight if you want to fly out that day just to play it safe
