disnyfan Posted March 7, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Anyone use Princess transfers embarking in Barcelona. How long do they generally make you wait before taking to the terminal? Flight lands about 8:30am.
onthelake Posted March 7, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2012 If there are two of you, a taxi will run about 40 euro and be much more convenient as well as less expensive. We have not used the Princess transfers in Barcelona but, in general, you must wait for a bus to fill up before leaving the airport and that can be frustrating after a long flight. Shogun Posted March 7, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2012 Hi There, We had no issues with waiting for a bus flying in from UK there were a good number of us on the flight, or the return Princess kept us on the ship to very late in the day new folks were boarding, they then called a taxi was a very nice last day, yours Shogun
disnyfan Posted March 10, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted March 10, 2012 Thanks. The price difference between a taxi and transfers is not that significant. Just wanted to know if we were to wait for hours until after they start checking people in.
Travelgrrl Posted March 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Barcelona is an easy taxi ride from the airport to the cruise terminal; I would consider that option.
Nylsor Posted March 12, 2012 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2012 A taxi from Barcelona airport to the cruise terminal will take you about fifteen minutes depending on the traffic. Just agree the fare with driver before entering the cab and add a tip of about 12%. Ensure you have some euros as they expect to be paid in cash. OhioDogLover Posted March 12, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2012 There is also a public bus that runs from the airport to the downtown, near Las Rambalas (sp). (one of the main touresty type areas.) It is quite inexpensive and a nice way to get downtown. We then took a quick look at Barcelona (walking) before taking a cab to the pier for our cruise. Luggage can be an issue, of course, but if you don't have too much, it could be an alternative, and also less expensive. Ohiodoglover
disnyfan Posted March 12, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted March 12, 2012 Our flight gets in at 8:30 am, check in will probably be at 11:30. Will it be more worthwhile to wait at the airport or at the cruise terminal? Is there a place to store luggage at the cruise terminal?

disnyfan Posted March 14, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted March 14, 2012 It seems that being in the airport would have the time go by faster. Thanks everyone for you comments.
