daddowdall Posted April 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 22, 2005 Is it really as limited as I've been told? Is there a fair selection of mid-range to premium California wines? Is it mostly European? Overpriced?
AlisonoftheSeas Posted April 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 22, 2005 You can type in wine list in the search feature on RCCL.com. I did this a few months ago and it gave me the wine list for the fleet.

spocruiser Posted April 22, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 22, 2005 We thought Jewel of the Sea had a pretty good selection and ordered a bottle of wine three or four nights. I think we had wine from California and Australia. We did not do the wine package for our six day cruise as we did not want to lock in buying 5 or 6 bottles, which I believe was the minimum. As for price, there is the typical restaurant mark up. One tip we learned, however, if you order a bottle of wine with dinner and do not finish it, your waiter will cork it for you and bring you your bottle the next night. caviargal Posted April 22, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 22, 2005 The wine list was revamped about 2 years ago. I think it is disappointing overall if you are really a wine drinker. The mark ups are really high. There are a couple of nice French wines, and a few decent Italians, but it is predomaniately unimaginative California wines. Just MHO.
