I posted this on Monday but I had no answer to my ?

I need to know if you hear noise in the Midship Suites that are on the Riveria deck. The pool is over the suites.

Please if you have stayed in one let me know. I need to know so if it is a problem i can change my cabin.

Thanks

From a very well-respected member of the forum about the same rooms on the sister ship Emerald:

Short recap.

NEVER book a PH suite (or accept an upgrade to one) on the modified Grand Class ships (that is unless you NEVER sleep, sounds like your ceiling is going to fall in at any moment 24/7, even ear plugs don't help much in these). I would have actually moved to an inside cabin if one had been available...............yes, it was that bad. :(

See, I told you, I would start whinning. LOL ;)

Cruise Mackel: The first time we had a PH Suite on the Emerald Princess I wasn't sure if I cared for it much. We have booked full suites for quite some time, so it wasn't the cabin but the location and the balcony. What I was most disappointed with was the balcony compared to the PH Suites on the Grand Class ships on the Caribe deck. We did hear some noise at times from above, but it wasn't horrible. Wasn't sure if we would book one again or not.

Last year we had a transatlantic cruise booked on the Crown Princess and were offered an upsell to the PH Suite. I was so glad we did. Felt totally different from the first time and we heard very little noise above. We were that happy with it we booked another one on the Crown for this last Christmas for 2 weeks. Still happy and not a lot of noise from above.

I do like the location being just one deck below Lido. Truly, I know Toto hated it, but I can't say don't ever book one of these cabins. We had no problem.
