I am curious what you list of Must Do's and Don'ts on the Zuiderdam (or any other HAL ship)

From what I read

Must Dos

1) Pinnacle

2) Massage

3) Casino (a personal Must do  )

Must Don't

none yet....

Hi!

Must Do's:

Food: Bami Goreng, Beef Wellington, Bread Pudding on the Lido(say hi to Hunky Dory), fresh squeezed OJ and made-to-order omelets on the lido, Chilled fruit soups, chocolate croissants, steak at the Pinnacle, After-dinner flambes in the Explorers Lounge, and the burgers out by the lido pool.

To do: Spa treatments (discounted on port days), bingo (they give away some good money), The Elton John impersonator, tour of the kitchen, the hydrotherapy pool, and the Piano Bar (depending on who is there)

Enjoy your cruise!!:D

Just the bread pudding? I don't need to watch what I eat anymore.. Wedding would have been done with, and I would have already fit in my dress  I think I will eat as much as EVERYTHING on the ship.

Thanks for the tip on the bread pudding though!~!!

Must Do:

1) Dungeness Crab Cakes in the Pinnacle Grill

2) Club sandwich from room service (preferably after midnight!)

3) Joel Mason's show

4) the Piano Bar if Kory is playing ;)

5) the St. Thomas sailaway party (dancing to the Five Seasons) - I know not everyone likes this, but as a "younger" cruiser, I loved dancing under the stars that night!

6) the New York Times crossword puzzle in the daily supplement!

7) Breakfast on the balcony!!!

8) Lemon Drops and Champagne Dreams cocktails

Must Don't:

I wouldn't say you "must" not do anything; try it all! BUT some of my less favorite things about the Zuiderdam:

1) Creme brulee in the Vista Dining Room (top wasn't caramelized! what's up with that!?)

2) Northern Lights disco

3) sitting behind a pole in the Vista Lounge

My understanding is Kory Simon has just left the Zuiderdam ( last week he finished up ) and Joel Mason was not performing last week. That was our only disapointment with the Zuiderdam. We had fun in the Disco but the design of that place makes you ask yourself "What were they thinking" ?? Everything else was just about perfect. !!

Don't have too much to drink then get off the barstool quickly at the Lido pool bar - those metal barstools can be painful!! :D

Don't spend too much time looking over the aft railing at the people sunning on their aft balconies.;)

Got an email from Joel today... he'll be back on Zuidy from 4/30 thru 5/10, so he'll miss our cruise . We'll have to catch him in August.

Hi, all.

Candy, when you go back on the Z you must say hello to Hunky for us. How long is he staying on board? Seems like he has and will be a long time. I wonder if he sometimes remembers from trip to trip.

If anyone gets a chance, check out 6080 for us, OK? Doing a balcony this trip because, well, just because.

Everyone, have a great cruise.

PS

I GUARANTEE that Joel remembers me!

I'll do what I can... Hunky Dory is good, but I dunno if he's that good! I'll try to sneak a look at 6080 for you and send you a digital.

I got an email from Joel... he won't be on our sailing. He's home right now and will be joining Zuidy May 1-10. I'll have to look for him again in November.
