Almost Aft on Glory

R&K in NC

Recommended Posts

I have booked a room in February on the Carnival Glory. The room is the next to last before aft (6442). It has extended balconies. The guy from carnival recommended the room since he stayed there. Can anyone give me information on this cabin area? Do you hear much noise from the cabaret below? Do you have alot of vibration?

Thanks

Kim

We've had four(I think we had 6442 on the Glory in Jan 04). Believe this--we have 6442 on the Liberty 9-18! what a coincidence!.

Obviously, we like them--20 ft balcony rather than 10 ft. The cabin --great window areas--bed is perpendicular to ship rather than parallel. If you are cruising with other people, the balcony is great for happy hours, etc. Also, you can get a couple of lounge chairs out there.;) The staris ouside are "crew" stairs, though I've been know to sneek a shortcut on them.

I was on deck 9 forward, and we had a guarantee, so SURPRISE! cabin assignment. While we were waiting for Art's Shuttle to take us to the ship, a couple was just returning to the hotel. They had an aft cabin, and they complained about the noise of the engines. I don't know which deck they were on, though. He was offered sleeping pills to help him sleep, but he didn't like that option, because they made him groggy for his days (ports and excursions).

The Platinum dining room was a little noisy from the engines, and it is on decks 3/4. Our table was on deck 3. The Golden is closer to midship.
