aeropain Posted April 24, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2005 My husband and I will be in Vancouver for several days before our cruise departs at the end of June. During our stay, we would really like to go salmon fishing for the day (proabably a 5-hour trip). I found two different charter operators on the internet: Bites-On Salmon Charters and M&M Salmon Fishing Charters. Has anyone ever used either one of these two companies--if so, how was your trip? Are their any other charter companies? How is the salmon fishing from Vancouver in June? Thanks. Debra
hcf Posted April 24, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2005 Since you will be in Vancouver for a few days, you might want to entertain spending a night on one of the Canadian Gulf Islands. You can catch a BC Ferry from Tsawwassen, just south of Vancouver. The scenery is beautiful! You can book a charter from whichever island you decide to go to. The fishing grounds are better. The waters also yield huge prawns. Some charters will pull up a potful for you. Here is a website to start with:http://www.gulfislands.net/travel.asp If you have more questions, please ask :)
grouchy Posted April 24, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2005 in Horsehoe Bay and rent your own boat and tackle. There are great spots around there for Salmon-they have Fishing Derby's there. Save yourself some money and enjoy the sights.
