mellow-yellow Posted March 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2012 I downloaded the Oceania one for iOS (iPhone/iPad) and it's a great app for the money. For 99 cents you get deck plans, ship stats, location of the ship (doesn't always work), deck cams (the one for the Marina looks like it is just a computer room? That's worthless!), port of call suggestions (nice!), a cruise countdown timer, and details your itinerary with customization capabilities, cruise budgeting, a cruise checklist / tips, and a few other things. They also have an Android app, but the versions appears to be older so it is not even compatible with modern tablets. Not affiliated, just posting it's certainly worth the money. I've seen some postings about it for other cruise lines, but the fact that they actually make an Oceania one is impressive. 16 days and 6 hours until our cruise (as stated by the app!) :)
Mary Ellen Posted March 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2012 I have the one for HAL and it isn't worth the space on my iPad - even if free. For the two HAL cruises I've booked since buying the app the itineary is VERY wrong. I'm not bothering to get the one for Oceania. Even though this will be my first cruise on Oceania, I know I can't trust the info Ship Mate provides.

Even though this will be my first cruise on Oceania, I know I can't trust the info Ship Mate provides. You can customize the itinerary so that issue should not be a problem for any of the Ship Mate apps for various cruise lines. A few clicks and you can assign ports to each itinerary day. For my cruise, only 1 port was wrong. I've confirmed the deck plans look right for Marina, and the other info I mentioned above makes it worthwhile.
