Luggage Storage

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on the Vision from Los Angeles to Vancouver on May 22nd. We want to take the 6 pm train from Vancouver to Seattle. Question is...if we will be off the ship about 10ish and want to tour Vancouver, what do we do with all our luggage, there are six of us. The baggage check at the train station does not open until 4pm so we could not check it there.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

There is baggage storage at Canada Place (the main cruise ship terminal in Vancouver). You can also use the ViaRail (Canadian train system) baggage room at the Vancouver train station where you can store your bags for the day. There's a small fee for it (I think it was like $5 Canadian). We did that last time we sailed into Vancouver (we didn't know about the baggage storage at Canada Place) and it worked out nicely.

Also, FYI, if you don't have a business class seat on the train, get to the station EARLY or you may end up on a bus instead of the train. Last time we took the train back from there, it was oversold and a lot of people ended up on buses. We had business class seats and got on the train just fine. You also get better legroom, wider seats, and a $3 coupon for the snack bar on the train, so we find the extra $10 per person for business class is worth it.
