MarieAtSea Posted March 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2012 We will be in Anchorage a few days prior to cruise in June. We want to take a helicoptor ride. I was only able to fine one on line and it did not have much info. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Kamloops50 Posted March 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2012 Most helicopter rides are in Skagway , Juneau and Ketchican. The scenery is much better than around Anchorage.
PennyAgain Posted March 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2012 There is good scenery around Anchorage. Certainly Turnagain Arm, Whittier, Prince William Sound and Cook Inlet. I would use a float plane to see it.
gregandamy Posted March 26, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 26, 2012 We did a helicopter with glacier landing last year through Knik River Lodge last summer. They picked us up at our hotel in Anchorage brought us to their lodge in Palmer and did the helicopter ride from there around Knik glacier. The flight was amazing and the time on the glacier was just spectacular!
