YIPPPPEEEEE !!

It just hit me that I am actually going to Alaska !!

I am finally going to "The Great Land" !!

Hey, I may not be on the best tour or the best glacier or the

most expensive, and I am not going to Denali, no land tour...but

I AM GOING TO ALASKA !!

I may see snow for the first time since 1984 !

I'm going to look at mountains and whatever I can see of whatever

is left of some glaciers <grin>

I will see (some part) of a whale I am pretty sure !!

I'm gonna see totem poles....maybe some eagles....

Emerald Lake

I'm going to visit the Yukon...and see the famous sign

and get my picture taken !!

I'm gonna pet some Sled pups....and ride on a cart with dogs pulling it !!

I'm going to eat some Alaskan salmon ...in ALASKA !!

I'm really going to ALASKA ! YIPPPPEEEE

:p:p:p:D:D

I just want to say that you are excited and I've been there twice and would go back in a heartbeat. I even tried to talk my husband into going to Anchorage in Feb. for the Northern Lights. That trip is on my bucket list. Have a great trip.

Mee too! Mee too!

Tomorrow we will be in double digits for our trip to Alaska. 100 days to go as of today!

This is our first time and soo excited. I watch the following shows on Nat Geo and the Discovery Channel to get me psyched!

Alaska Wingmen (they profiled Mt Mckinley flightseeing tour recently)

Alaska State Troopers..not trip related but very interesting to see the country side and the culture (that can be pretty sad, actually)

Flying Wild Alaska (on hiatus now)

Gold Rush

Alaska Coast Guard - they profile the things that the American Coast Guard does out of Sitka, Ketchikan and Kodiak most of the time. It is very interesting and gives you an idea of what they do.

Previous Cruises:

Alaska - Westerdam - September 2009

Alaska- Rotterdam - September 2010

Mexican Riveria - Oosterdam - April 2011

It's awesome to see how everyone is so excited for their trip!!! For some reason I seemed to have mellowed down after booking the trip, excursions and doing all the research! 45 days! give or take :) and we will be at The Last Frontier!!! :D

I now ask myself this question...what do you look forward to the most?

Granted - we are still in triple digits, but still getting excited - have started looking at various excursions, trying to decide as to what we want to see. This will be our first time going into Anchorage, Kodiak, Hoonah and Homer and we are looking forward to seeing and doing different activities.

Soooo looking forward to this trip.

Sounds like we are doing the same thing! With the same feelings! I have wanted to go to Alaska ever since I was about 8 years old. Hearing my dad talk about it put the desire into me. Can't wait, can't wait! I think I have 65 more days to go?!
