Ritas fiesta?

we are going the first night at 6pm. wondering what if the ship sails away later like oasis did tonight. can you show up a little late to watch sail away or do you miss sail away and get to the fiesta on time?

Very disappointed with Rita's. Service fine food, well I'd go to Taco Bell. All other restaurants were Great.

We did Rita's on fiesta night with friends. The food was just ok but the service and fiesta part were very fun. We enjoyed it but would not do it again. Enjoy all of the other specialty restaurants. The only one we did not try was Samba Grill and I read mixed reviews on that one too.

Okay, now I feel a little better about missing Rita's. You know, that boardwalk is such a pretty neighborhood at night. Too bad it's loaded with pay for places, I would have loved walking around down there with a milkshake that didn't cost me.

And yes, Samba was so so at best. I wouldn't pay for it again.

How much is a little? My guess :rolleyes: you could but it could be a bit awkward, only because you are attending an event that starts at 6:00. Seems it could interrupt the flow of the evening if a group needs to be seated & get there hats & necklaces right when the dancing starts or something like that. Have yet to attend so really not sure just trying to give incite to your original question. I do agree, form your own opinion, Rita's Fiesta sounds like a fun time for my family too even if the food does not get the best reviews. :D Can't wait to go in June!

A "little" late might be okay. But the way it is set up, they seat you with other couples/groups and they tend to serve in waves. If you show up too late I am not sure how they would deal with you.

We were on the Allure 3/18 - 3/25. We left port around 5:15 and we stayed on our balcony. The Coast Guard escorting us out put on quite a show for us. We went to Rita's Fiesta the first night. I would try to get there before 6. There are 5 or 6 booths and if you want one of those rather than sharing a large table with others, get in line a little early. We (3) sat at a booth ourselves and enjoyed it just as much. The food was ok, the drinks were good. It was fun to try once - would I go back? No....

Do not go late, Rita has to check you in on the laptop at the front

of the cafe, give you the bracelet for the drinks, get your table assignment, etc. This all takes time. If the party is started you may be

standing there waiting to get checked in. Go about 5:45pm, check in,

you can go back out for a little bit on the side ramp, and come back to

your table. There is a sailaway party going on in the aquatheatre that

was fun. Where were you planning on doing your sailaway?

thank you! this is exactly what i needed to hear! we are planning on deck 14 forward, but i will have a plan b in case we sail away late. And we will plan to arrive at 5:45 at rita's! any suggestions for plan b for sail away?

It will depend how crowded the first night is. I have my doubts that it will be crowded so you should be fine.

 

As far as the Fiesta, the price is worth it for the drinks alone. The food was good but not great. Enjoy.:)

Attended the first evening as someone else was treating. There were only a couple empty places so I wouldn't count on it not to be crowded. Things start pretty much on schedule and they have to as as Rita's Cantina also has standard dinner reservations after the fiesta ends.
