Tell me about Sapphire Beach?

Leaving on Sunday 4-8 on Ruby Princes. Will be in St. Thomas on Thurs. I had a excursion booked to Virgin Gorda which was canceled by the cruise line today. Heard and read some about Sapphire Beach. How's the water there and are there beach chairs and umbrellas and restroom facilities?:)

We spent a week there and absolutely loved it, and all reviews from cruisers spending a day there are very positive.

Great, clean beach with a sandy swimming area as well as 2 different snorkel areas (reef or sea grass). Several options for food and drink (Banana Cabana grill and Sapphire Village restaurant take orders on the beach). Bathrooms are fine, dive center rents lounges, snorkel gear, and floaties for the water, no umbrellas because there are several shady spots along the beach.

Another bonus of Sapphire is it remains relatively quiet on big ship days as compared to other STT beaches like those nearer the docks and Coki and Magens. You will enjoy your day there, gorgeous water and great views of neighboring Tortola and St John.

The Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina and Sapphire Village condo resorts are there, these are not typical resprts but condo resorts. If you ever decide to stay on STT check out the property at the SBR&M it's a very nice place to stay with a beautiful pool. Just need to book directly through a condo owner so you know the condition of the condo.

And sorry your VG trip was cancelled, the Baths are beautiful. Hope you make it to Tortola in the future, beautiful island and you can take the ferry to VG on your own and get your own taxi there. Just nicer than being with a group, especially at the Baths..

Have a great cruise!
