We are on Nautica's "Majestic Masterpieces" in May and was wondering if anyone knows if there will be any planned activities on sea days?..We've cruised on Oceania twice before, but never had any sea days. Thanks

On our sea days on the Insignia there was lots of activities. On one of them they had a Grand Tea and it was spectacular as well as delicious. They have lots of challenges if you want to partake, the library was very busy (lots of ZZZZZZZZZ's), if warm enough the pool. You won't lack for things to occupy you. We had around 6 sea days and I enjoyed everyone of them.

I see this is your first post. Welcome to Cruise Critic.

I am on your cruise and we have a fairly active roll call where you can "meet" fellow passengers. Please sign in and plan to attend our Meet and Greet as well. Just go to the Oceania Roll Calls/Nautica and you will see "Majestic Masterpieces" listed. Introduce yourself and you suddenly will have many new friends with whom to spend those sea days.

We are also on this cruise and have been on Oceania before. We will have 3 sea days counting the Keil Canal. Given the relative intensity of the rest of the cruise I look at these days as an opportunity to sleep late and rest up.

There will be some special activities organized by the cruise director and, as mentioned, the grand tea is quite nice. On the Kiel Canal transit there is a lot to see as we pass farm country, small villages and all basically at arms length because the canal is quite narrow. Many also consider this a day to do their laundry:), actually, it's usually too many:(.

Please do check out the roll call and plan to attend the meet and greet. Also check out the opportunities to join up with others for small group tours. There has been a lot of action lately on taxi's into Bruges.

See you on board,

Robbie

DH and I just returned from a 21 night cruise that had 9 sea days ~ too many for us! You can be as busy or as lazy as you like. We had three different lecturers on board as well as wine seminars and bridge (both beginner and intermediate) lessons offered. The social team, made up of the O entertainers, led line dancing classes and needlepoint gatherings. When the weather was nice, there were activities on deck, such as shuffleboard and table tennis. When we had rain, movies were shown in the lounge. There was trivia held daily and an occasional round of Scattergories. Food was always available somewhere, laundry was done (get there early), and the library visited for reading or snoozing. The casino is open and one day there was a Casin'Olympics which was a lot of fun. The special high tea was as beautiful as it was delicious; remember to take your camera to it. Your daily Currents newsletter will be on your bed each evening; just look it over and plan out your day's events. Fellow passengers we've met continue to be well traveled and lovely; we often enjoyed just sitting somewhere and chatting. Enjoy your cruise.
