afcj1 Posted April 6, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted April 6, 2012 What do you like to do? Kids with you? No kids:) We're 2 adult women, who would enjoy seeing some sights or go on a tour. Thanks again!
jgmpuma Posted April 6, 2012 #6 Share Posted April 6, 2012 A city tour would be a good idea. You can cover a lot of territory since NO is a very compact city. I can't recommend any particular company since I have never used one. \ They last 2 or 3 hours, so if you can catch one in the morning you will be back in time to wander around the French Quarter for a while, have some lunch, and have plenty of time to get to the airport. afcj1 Posted April 6, 2012 Author #7 Share Posted April 6, 2012 A city tour sounds good. I'l look for a tour company. I've never been to NO and we'll be in 2 days prior, tho we'll be with friends so probably not a whole lot of sightseeing. Thanks so much for your suggestions. They're very appreciated:)
ebbinns Posted April 10, 2012 #8 Share Posted April 10, 2012 We just got off Voyager in NOLA last Saturday. We had the Friday before sailing to explore the French Quarter, but we had a 5:00 flight on the Saturday after disembarking. We chose to rent a car at the Hertz a block north of the port at the Fulton St parking garage. We drove up to a plantation about an hour away, had a nice lunch and dropped the rental car at the airport.
