Candlewood suites fort lauderdale

Has anyone stayed in Candlewood Suites Fort Lauderdale airport/cruise?

If so can you tell me how your stay was? Are there restaurants, stores, entertainment within walking distance? Thanks in advance.

We stayed at candlewood a few years back and then right across the street at best western a few months ago. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay, this is fine...however there is nothing to do in this area that is within walking distance. If you need to pick up last minute items, there is a small shopping center across the street with a Win Dixie in it. As far as options for dinner...there really aren't too many. There are a couple of fast food places McDonalds, Wendy's and Subway that I can remember. This last time we ate at a little whole in the wall sports bar that was just ok, but it was all we needed.

This is not the place to stay if you are looking for entertainment. But it is a great place to stay if all you are looking for is a place to lay your head and somewhere that is convenient to a grocery store for last minute items.

Happy Cruising!
