Finally rebooked after our Repo cruise on the STAR was cancelled.

Aloha all,

 

We finally made a decision and we will be on the WIND on Sept. 11th for the cruise around the islands. After our May 2nd cruise was cancelled, we were undecided what to do. We were leaning toward the Mex. Riv. on the STAR...but, because we live in Hawaii, the flight times required an overnight in LAX in each direction..and with the airfare, etc. we are getting an 11 night cruise on the WIND for a great price. There is nothing like taking an 11:30am flight out of Hilo...and being on the ship in HNL at 1pm!! We had the credit that NCL offered us...and wanted to use it. We have NO problem with NCL...and considered it a nice gift. We know that the WIND is an older and smaller ship, but after reading reviews and seeing pics, etc. from board members like Hobbsey, we are ready to go.

 

We plan to sail on the STAR again...loved the ship when we sailed on her in Sept. 2003..will be looking at the Mx. Riv. or possibly Alaska down the road. Meanwhile, we are very excited about another island cruise...we love to explore the islands..even though we live here, and we are especially excited about another visit to Fanning Island.

 

We saw the WIND cruise by our house last night...it looked beautiful...and in 3 months we be on it. Can't wait!! Now, I will move over to the ROLL CALL boards to see who will be joing us!!

My daughter and I had a great trip and loved our time in Hawaii, although we were sory we didn't get to meet everyone on our roll call.Ten days was NOT enough and I hope I can return some day soon.

The WIND is roundtrip from HNL...11 glorious days. There will be 4 sea days for the trip to and from Fanning Island. But this is at the end of the cruise....perfect!
