St. George to Swizzle Inn

Arriving on the Dawn and will be docked at the Dockyard. We want to go to the original Swizzle Inn. Would it make sense to take the ferry to St George then hop on the bus to Swizzle Inn and reverse for the return. I would like to avoid the bus terminal in Hamilton.

That will work as long as you make it back to St. George in time for the last ferry @ 6:30 and don't stay for that One More Pitcher of Swizzle.;)

Look at it this way:

By ferry from the Dockyard to St George, about a 40 minute ride; bus ride from SG to Swizzle Inn, about a 20 minute ride. Total travel time, about 60 minutes plus waiting time for the bus, 0-15 minutes plus waiting time for ferry. The ferry from the Dockyard departs 6 times per weekday. If you don't time your departure perfectly, you could end up waiting from 45 minutes (min) to 90 minutes (max).

 

By ferry from the Dockyard to Hamilton and then the bus, about a 20 minute ride; bus ride from Hamilton to the SI, about a 30 minute ride. Total travel time, about 50 minutes plus waiting time for the bus, 0-15 minutes plus waiting time for ferry. The ferry from the Dockyard to Hamilton departs about 16 times per weekday. If you don't time your departure perfectly, you could end up waiting from 15 minutes (min) to 105 minutes (max). Plus walking time getting from the ferry terminal to the bus terminal, about 10 minutes.

 

The only thing I would add is that the ferry to Hamilton and then bus to SI gives you more flexibility from the more ferry trips to Hamilton making it easier to fit the trip in with what else you have scheduled.

 

Just curious, but what is wrong with the bus terminal in Hamilton?
