Miami airport question

Our family will unfortunately have to fly in to Miami on two different airlines, 45 mins apart. Air Canada and Westjet. Where is a good place to meet after getting our baggage? We will be catching the shuttle to Hampton Inn Blue Lagoon area...

Air Canada uses concourse "J" while WestJet uses "F" -- they also use different luggage claim carosels #3 and #9. Whoever lands first should grab bags and wait near the other's baggage claim area - or you could proceed to the hotel, check in, and maybe ice down some drinks from the Publix and liqour store in the shopping area across the street from the hotel. :D

The party who arrives first should grab their luggage and then go to the baggage claim area where the others will arrive and wait there. I have done this a few times.
