Carnival Holiday questions

Just reading an old review about the Holiday. The 'Tahiti Bar' was mentioned but I can't remember this. Are they referring to the 'theatre'?

Also, does anyone know what her debut itinerary was?

I think the Tahiti bar was the casino bar. I sailed on her out of San Juan in 2001 and I seem to remember the casino having that theme.

Edit to Add: I found this deckplan, but nothing on the inaugural itinerary.

So it looks like the Tahiti Lounge was midship aft of the Casino and maybe used as a dance club.

Tahiti Lounge was just one of the many lounges aboard the Holiday. We sailed on her in 2007. If I recall correctly, it's one of the smaller lounges where they normally had a live band.

Here's the deck plan for the Holiday: (LOOK AT DECK 7)

I do remember the Holiday featured in some 1985 promotional material for the port of Miami.

The Holiday was built in 1985, so the promotional material would point to her sailing out of Miami, probably doing alternating Caribbean itineraries. Back then, it was the "norm" to place the newest and largest ships in the most popular itineraries (which happened to be Caribbean cruises out of Miami).

LOL!

Ok, this is what happens when you have too much time and "embark" yourself in a mission to find the answer to someone's question.

After "googling" this one to death, I found this vintage video from 1985 when the Holiday was brand new. Fast forward to 1 min 53 secs. That's where the Holiday footage begins...

I'm still laughing. LOL!
