Obtaining Travel Visa for Istanbul

We are sailing on the Quest week of July 15th with a 3 day stay in Istanbul at the end of the cruise. Does anyone know if we will be able to obtain a travel visa at the port?

Not sure about the port but Visas are readily available from the security gate at Istanbul airport.

After googling, have established that for some reason for Canadian citizens the cost of a 3 month visa is $60 U.S, but only $20 for Americans. What has Canada done to upset Turkey?

From personal experience it is important to have the correct cash when you buy the visa because no change is given

Hopefully we can get the visa @ the port & save an extra trip to the airport.

As long as you sleep on the ship, it seems you are allowed to stay up to 72 hrs without a visa. By the way, Canadians DO pay much more than Americans for visas. We found out that Canada charges the Turks the same amount to come here. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

when we went to Turkey last summer on Constellation, we automatically all got Turkish visas entered (and accounts charged). We did end cruise in Istanbul (which is a great place to visit).

Just rec'd word from our travel agent that we can pre-purchase the Turkish Visa on board the ship as of the first day of sailing.
