How soon can you board a Carnival ship?

The itinerary says 4:00 pm. How soon do they let people on board? We haven't recieved our tickets/info. yet so we don't know if they have a policy on embarkation times....

 

Boarding usually starts around noon if all goes well.

Generally, people start arriving at the pier as early as 10:30, but don't get on until around 11:45-12:00. I have been in my cabin as early as 12:15 p.m.

Get there around 11 a.m. and you will probably be eating lunch on the ship by 12:30 . They usually don't let you go to your room til about 1:30 or so but that doesn't stop you from exploring the ship and enjoying the pool areas.
