weather and sea conditons in december in mexico

We will traveling to Progresso and Cozumel in December..For anyone who has been how was the sea and weather..We went to the bahamas last December and the ocean was rough to say the least. Thanks

There's really no way to predict what the seas (or weather) might be like at any given time. It's not a "season specific" phenomenom......winds, frontal systems, etc...have alot to do with seas!

 

You should start checking the forecasts about 1 week out....that's about the range of any meteorologist!

We've done 2 trips in January that stopped in Cozumel and both had at least 1 day of rough seas and neither was particularly "hot" weather. Nice and sunny, wearing shorts, but not hot enough to lay by the pool and roast in the sun everyday!
