Which Cooking Excursion

Will be arriving in Cozumel on Carnival Liberty. We want to do a cooking class (not the Salsa) and are undecided between Playa Mia or Mr. Sanchos. Which of the two would you recommend?

We've done Playa Mia with Chef Luis. LOVED it. Great experience and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

We have done the Playa Mia one a few times. We love it & always want to go back when in Cozumel! Chef Luis & his crew are great!

Just did Playa Mia cooking school last week and LOVED IT!!! Luis was great!!! The food was great! Everyone had a great time! Lots of laughing.

Did everyone who used Playa Mia book thru the cruiseline, direct with the resort or through a tour operator? I'm trying to find the least expensive way to book this tour - the cruiseline tours are always so much more costly.

I have done the Playa Mia cooking excursion 3 times. In the beginning I tried to book it outside the cruiseline but was not allowed to. (The same with Salsa and Salsa). I just accept the fact that some excursions that I want to do are going to be booked thru the cruiseline whether I like it or not.

I did the Mr. Sanchos cooking class last year and LOVED it. There were 6 of us and we had a great time mixing margaritas and cooking some delicious food (fried tortas with chicken or fish, homemade tortillas, guac, salsa, beans). The place was gorgeous and very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Be warned, they let you make the margaritas as strong as you wish!

We just did the Playa Mia Cooking Class with Chef Luis on 16 April... it was wonderful! Lots of fun, his staff is friendly (and goofy!), good drinks, and great food! :) I would recommend his class to anyone. We booked through Carnival, which I didn't mind. It was worth it :)
