Book excursions now or when arrive?

Going on the PG May 14 and not sure if I'll book tours from the ship or from the independents in port. How booked up do they get? I see many people reserve the tours before they leave. Interested in the 4x4, waverunner excursions primarily. Do the independents get fully booked?

I have read that some of the independents are not reliable. I would book now, and have something to fall back on if there is a no-show.

The independents we booked were very good and we booked anywhere from 6-11 months out. The good ones fill up quickly and don't have that much capacity, so the sooner you book, the better.

With Bruno we did send a check and did not have any problems.
