For those who play in the casino:

Before your next cruise, call the Player's Club, give them you Carnival number, cruise booking number. They will check to determine if you qualify for anything.

We have received $25, photo coupon, fruit basket, wine, drink coupons, etc.

Worth a phone call. We also do this for Princess. Just received $75 each on our Panama Canal cruise.

Not too long ago DH got a certificate in the mail saying he would get $100 credit at the casino if we booked within a certain time. We had booked just prior to receiving this. I called Carnival they said no problem just bring the certificate the first time you come to the casino and we will verify everything.

I quess my question is - does everyone get these or do they send them to people that are player's club members? I don't play the slots but he does and I know he is a player's club member. It would be nice to get a little something for all the money he has put into those machines. ;)

This is just my impression, so take it with a grain of salt. In my last conversation with VIP services, I got the feeling that Carnival now expects the hosts in each individual casino to dole out the rewards that we are used to, with the exception of the casino cash. When I asked specifically about the free drink card that DH had been given from minute one in the past, I was told that the individual casino made that decision, and that they also are responsible for providing most of the goodies that we have grown accustomed to. She repeatedly told me to introduce myself to the host when we board. On our last cruise, one of the hosts told me that anyone who left their previous cruise with 5,000 points would qualify. I hope that they have access to that info onboard, otherwise it's a perk gone the wayside.

Who knows?
