9 DAYS till the Fantasy!!!!

We were on the Fantasy Last July. We loved everything. We saw all the shows and had a great time. Food was yummy and we did as much as we could ..Not one single problem...Have a great time!

well i guess no one wants to respond about the Fantasy ship. excuse the post.wont happen again.

 

 

Give us a chance, we do all have a life!:)

 

We loved the Fantasy and there is nothing bad I can say about it. Hoping to cruise her again in October. Have a great time!

I leave in 12 days on the Fantasy and cant wait. 1st cruise ever and very excited. cmon people let us know more about the Fantasy !!!

For your first cruise, I would say Fantasy is a good choice. It was my first cruise as well! We were in an interior on Upper Deck (6) and had a great room. Our room attendant was wonderful. We had ordered a couple of BV bottles and he kept our ice bucket full. Loved the ice cream machine! Food in main dining room did come out a little cool a couple of times but nothing major. DH loved everything he ordered but I am more picky and a couple of things I didn't like. But no problem ordering something else.

 

We carried 2 bottles of wine on board with us so took our own glasses of wine to dinner. Did smuggle some Kahula on with no problems.

 

Loungers were in very high demand on Lido but we never had problems finding a lounger on the deck above, which I thought was better anyway.

 

Room service and sandwiches from the deli were great. I didn't really like the pizza.

Just returned Monday from the Fantasy. Had the best time of all of my 9 cruises. Risa is one of the best cruise directors in my opinion. If you drink, make sure to go to the Lido Bar on the Starboard side and have Kerwin (bar manager) make you a Bloody Mary. Never had one that tasted so good. The Ticket to Ride show is a not to be missed show if you love the Beatles. Check out the comedy shows. We had a couple great comedians includeing Dean Gaines from LV. You must line up for the comedy shows about 30 minutes before showtime to get a good seat. After hearing negative reviews about Freeport I was pleasantly surprised at this stop. I actually enjoyed it more than Nassau. Make sure to take the cab ($10 RT to Port Lucaya). The casino there offered $10 in free slot pull just to sign up for their players club and free drinks. I found a nickle poker machine and was a happy camper without loosing my butt. The beaches are really nice. There is a free beach with a nice bar but not much of an actual "beach" area. Go just a block away and their is a gate where you can pay $10 to access and have umbrella and chair rental or go to the Sheraton for an all day pass for $20 and have use of their pool. We love Fantasy. We have sailed on her 3 times and are about to plan for a 4th sailing perhaps in December on her. It is just so easy since we live in Charleston.

 

There are 2 Fantasy reviews in my signature. One from 2010 which was a 6 day to Key West, Freeport and Nassau and one from this March 2012 a 5 day to Freeport and Nassau. Lots of pics

 

Tons of fun! WE had a blast.

 

If you have any Charleston questions, let me know. Since I live here it will be easy to find out. :)

Do see the show Ticket to Ride. One of the best shows.

 

Do spend time on the Serenity deck.

 

Do have the Roasted Pumpkin soup on formal night.

landonsnanny, Three things you must do for Fantasy cruise (1) read both of Nancy's reviews Fun4all&all4fun, They are long and you only have two days before you cruise;). (2) Go to Cats lounge and listen to Music Boardwalk!:cool: They will also be in Beatles show and play at the deck party. Please tell them Dave "the wall" said hello, and (3) last but not least HAVE FUN:D. David :).

LOVE the Fantasy! :) You will have an amazing cruise. The look and color scheme of the Fantasy is one of my favorites....especially along the Promenade.

 

I also second the recomendation on seeing Ticket to Ride - great show!
