sivyaleah Posted April 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2012 Having cruised several times before, I'm aware that the mattresses on the beds can be hit or miss depending on what type they are using. I've had some utterly horrible ones where my shoulders ached the entire trip, and others that were blissful. So, how are the ones on the Explorer? I realize this is rather subjective also, but for the most part, am I going to need to request an "egg crate" to go on top of it? I do suffer from neck and shoulder problems (one problem is my arms go numb while sleeping, especially with bad pillows/mattresses) and if so, can I make that request prior to sailing or do I wait until I get on board? Last time I sailed, was on NCL's Epic, and the bed was wonderful so I didn't have to worry about it :)
LovesCruising Posted April 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2012 My last 2 cruises on Explorer were in GS and the beds were wonderful - no egg crate needed. If you should feel you need one however, I would request from your room attendant the first day.
