Good Restaurants around the Louvre?

We will be staying 4 nights in Paris around the Louvre pre-cruise and wondered if anyone had any good restaurant recommendations for that area? We aren't looking for fancy, just good!:o

One of our best meals last summer in Paris was at La Rose De France on the end of the Ile de Cite, it is about 15 minutes from the Louve. It is open for lunch and dinner.

We really enjoyed Les Bistronomes on the rue de Richelieu. It's part of the trendy "bistronomy" movement - creative cuisine in a casual, lower priced venue. You can find reviews on TripAdvisor and NY Times.

You will not have any problem finding a good place to eat near the Louvre...one block this way one black that way..I have eaten near there a lot.Right across the street from the Louvre is one of the best chocolate shops in all Paris...go for the hot chocolate. Anyone can direct you.

While not real close to the Louvre it is still within 15 min. walking or even faster via the very easy to navigate Metro system.

 

If you would like to experience a place where everyday Parisiens dine? A place that is non-pretentious/very reasonably priced and most importantly authentic French fare? A place that may serve as an alternative to the numerous tourist restaurants/cafes that charge three different prices depending on where one opts to sit?
