cenote snorkeling?

Curious about cenote snorkeling in/around Progreso - that is not more than a 45min ride ... does it exist?

 

I know there is an open cenote at Dzibilchaltun, but I am interested in underground cenotes. My group just does not want to ride too far, even though I know there are some great ones an hour/half or so ...

 

I think Lawson / Dawson experts might be able to help answer this question!

The cenotes that are most spectacular are about 60-90 minutes away, driving. Is it worth it? You bet.
