Love beach in Nassau??

Looking for some information RE: Love beach in Nassau. We are sailing on Carnival Glory on 5/14/05 We will be In Nassau for only a half day & was wondering how far from the Port it is & whether or not this beach offers decent snorkeling for my family. Any info would be great!!!! Thanks:rolleyes:

Cable Beach is actually nicer than Love Beach, but both are definitely cab ride distance (alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can take the #10 bus). Dunno about the snorkeling - you'd have to go out a pretty good ways to see anything, and to my eye (from a distance) it didn't look that great... I might be more prone to recommend one of the snorkeling excursions offered by Carnival.
