Ultimos Posted April 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2012 In Italy: www.trenitalia.com You can find prices and schedules. ROMA to VENEZIA: Duration 3:48 Fare: 76 € pax Barcelona to Rome is more complicated by train. Barcelona - Milán - Rome: very expensive and may hours... Have you tried these?: VUELING: http://www.vueling.com/ RYANAIR: http://www.ryanair.com/en Luck!
Starry Eyes Posted April 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2012 I hope it works out for you. The major US website for buying European rail tickets seems to give US passengers poor prices. Going to other websites and putting nationality as US often bounces one back to raileurope. Of course if one enters, say, Canada or UK, the website may let one price and purchase (in English) tickets (printed on home computer or picked up at station). Starry Eyes Posted April 30, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 30, 2012 one other thought, if the above websites do not help you with air prices, have you considered other gateway cities? London or Dublin, as gateways for your international flights, then discount European airlines for the one way flights? Be careful about baggage fees, though...they can add up fast on European airlines.
