Summit while in port Bermuda question

I am wondering if the folks who have recently sailed on the Summit to Bermuda can help with answering the question: Does the ship still have the casino, ship stores, theater shows & entertainment open while in port in Bermuda?

DH read somewhere that all of these close down and that there is NO entertainment taking place on the ship while in port. If that is the case...it may be kind of boring for three nights in a row!

:(

I am hoping someone has details from their recent cruise they can share with us. Thanks!!

The shops and Casino will be closed. However Celebrity will have some entertainment on board (shows, dancing, etc) Also there are some shops & restaurants/pubs in the Dockyard that are open in the evening. One even stays open until 2 am or so.

Since you are in port for 3 days you can come and go on the ship as you please.

Thank you for confirming there will be some entertainment on ship while in port in the evenings. We are booked and ready to go - this info helps us to understand our options for some fun times after dinner!

I think the Bermuda government is considering allowing the ship casinos to stay open in port. They are getting very concerned about the reduction in ships coming there - even thinking about opening up the St. Georges "town cut" so larger ships can get in.

I think a couple of the cruise lines just started their trips to Bermuda this past weekend...so come on here next Saturday or Sunday for a review of the Bermuda trips:p
