Ice cream shoppe in Victoria

I love finding unique ice cream parlors and heard there is a very good one in downtown Victoria. Does anyone have any suggestions on a place for great ice cream?

The first one that leaps to mind is Mr. Tubbs but it's a bit to far out of town to walk. The one I am thinking of downtown is Oh Gelato on Government but I haven't been there for a few years and not sure if it is still open.

The soft serve at the Beacon Hill Drive-In is very popular, but not really gourmet. Only other place that jumps to mind was a place on Government Street, between Yates and Johnson.

 

Vancouver on the other hand has La Casa Gelato

That according to a google search appears to be the place - it's in the 1000 block of Government - the reviews are mixed but mostly about being over-priced. Couldn't find a direct web link to them - perhaps one of you will have more success.

Island Farms ice cream is very good, so I think you will be happy with any place serving it! If you like gelato, some places in Victoria serve Mario's Gelato, which is made in Vancouver.
