Belize- Time for Bannister Island and Town?

Hi,

 

Going to belize in August on Carnival Legend.

 

Is there time to go to Bannister Island (ship excursion) in the morning and then have lunch on the ship and then go into town in the afternoon?

 

If there time for both, should I do Bannister in the morning or afternoon?
