redfish1955 Posted May 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2012 Can you actually find these somewhere online, or do you have to order a guidebook from Amazon with the map in it? We are sailing on the Infinity, Seattle RT, the Tracy Arm Fjord Cruise with stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Victoria, B.C. Thanks for any help!:D

pdmlynek Posted May 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 16, 2012 I think that you have two choices: either go with topos from USGS or go with NOAA’s nautical charts. For example, for Juneau, compare: http://ims.er.usgs.gov/gda_services/download?item_id=5203792&quad=Juneau B-2 SE&state=AK&grid=7.5X7.5&series=Map GeoPDF from USGS to http://www.charts.noaa.gov/OnLineViewer/17315.shtml for NOAA. I plan on relying on rough scale nautical charts to follow the ship’s progress, but fine-scale topos for on land use. You can also go with the usual sources of maps such as ITM or NG, but this my be insufficient for what you seek.
