redfish1955 Posted May 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2012 Part of our cruise "perk" includes a $200 onboard credit. Can we use that to purchase beverage packages once onboard, or can we at least use it to purchase drinks? Do you get some kind of sticker/card showing you have this credit that you present when ordering drinks, etc.? Thanks for any infomation!:D
TRadle Posted May 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2012 You may use your OBC to purchase your drink package onboard. :)
ariawoman Posted May 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2012 You sure can. Else it can be applied to other things you do on board, like bingo, shore excursions, hotel service charge, individual drinks if you dont have a package, etc. OBC is awesome :-)
redfish1955 Posted May 3, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted May 3, 2012 Thanks to both of you for responding so quickly! Of course, I can think of a million ways to spend that $200! Also got a $50 credit for speciality dining. I guess that covers the upcharge for dining there for two people?

Thanks for any infomation!:D Hi, Redfish: So, basically, an onboard credit appears on your charge statement and will just be used to offset any purchases that you make; i.e., gift shop, bar, portions of specialty restaurants that aren't covered by your particular coupon, photos, spa treatments, internet packages. Just imagine! Whatever your heart desires! LOL. If you don't see your credit on your statement (view it by looking on your TV Menu selection to view your account) when you first board, give it a few days... usually on board credit(s) will appear within a couple of days. If you don't see it after a few days, then you might need to present some documentation to Guest Relations, so make sure that you take whatever documentation you have that shows your onboard credit perk. I'm only saying this because I've read about people needing to do that here; personally, I've never, ever had a problem (knock on wood)! Happy sailing. Also got a $50 credit for speciality dining. I guess that covers the upcharge for dining there for two people? I believe that would depend on the venue in which you are dining. For some reason I remember some being 40 dollars per person (but I didn't partake I'm just going off of what I've read). Next cruise I'm thinking of trying the tuscan grille. :-)
