Baha Mar Resort

I am thinking about booking this hotel because I am having no luck with Priceline. Has anyone stayed there? I am looking for any information on it. Also am wondering if there is a nearby place to pick up some soda and an inexpensive coffee pot. Can't cruise without those two things. ;)

We stayed there last week sat, and I must say I thought they were wonderful. They let us check in at 11am, close to the water taxi and to the pier.

I stayed here in March, compliments of priceline. I found it to be a great hotel, a little on the older side, but clean and perfect for a pre or post cruise stay. Everyone was more than helpful. There is a little convenience store on site for things, kind of like a 7-11 kind of store. Hope on the water taxi and you can go to Olas Blvd. where you will find all kinds of stores for your last minute purchases.

We also stayed there last Feb. and it is a nice hotel for a pre-post stay. Everything is clean, had a great room that overlooked the beach and Port Everglades. That is also the home base for the water taxi. Nice hotel, would stay there again.

Thanks Trent for letting me know. Am I to understand after reading the article that Bahia Mar will not allow even the water taxi to just stop there? It is a little confusing.

I don't know, I'm not real clear on that one either... They gave them another 2 months to find a new base, but after that I don't know if they'll even be able to stop there or not.

That stinks. We have enjoyed that water taxi in Ft. Lauderdale the last few times we were there. Its so great, lots of people take advantage of it. I hope they are able to continue to operate.
