spunkyhungry Posted May 6, 2012 #26 Share Posted May 6, 2012 My parents did a Mediterranean cruise once (I think 10-14 days) while having money issues (they had already paid for the cruise with accumulated miles before financial difficulties began). They really didn't have any money to spare. So all they bought the entire trip was a bottle of wine (to last the entire week) and an occasional taxi ride and admission for an activity. They still had a great time. It didn't matter that they didn't have hundreds of dollars to spend on drinks and souveneirs. I think you will be fine. $800 is more than enough. I couldn't find the need to spend $800 on a cruise.
ItsAllAboutTheSass Posted May 6, 2012 #27 Share Posted May 6, 2012 $800 is more than enough. We are sailing up the Chesapeake now bringing the Pride home. GT and HMC are beach days. We stated in the ship in Freeport. Be sure to check out Roger in the Piano Bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Crazy4Cruisin225 Posted May 6, 2012 #28 Share Posted May 6, 2012 $800 should be more then enough. Especially if you already pre-paid your tips. I always pay cash when we cruise and I usually put about $500 on my S&S account. If I use it all up and am out of cash I just go to the ATM and add more cash. You can keep track of how much is available on your account by checking on the cabin tv or at the S&S kiosks. Have fun!!
golfadj Posted May 6, 2012 #29 Share Posted May 6, 2012 Confine your drinking to your wine and use the autotip and do not see a problem at all. Have a great time.
