Bringing non-alcoholic beverages aboard at a port

I've seen this mentioned, but I wasn't sure the details on how true/allowed it is. Our first stop is Key West. If we buy a pack of soda there, will we be allowed to bring it with us to our room when we get back on the ship?

Maybe, maybe not, depending on how strict the person letting you back onboard wants to be. According to the FAQ you may only do this at the embarkation port, but I've seen many say they had no trouble doing this at subsequent ports.
