Genoa/Savona?

We disembarked from the Costa Mediterranea this morning.

Used the Costa transfer (bus) from Savona to Genova Airport. It took us about 40 minutes to get to the Genova. Cost of the transfer was Euro 30 per person. You can purchase the transfer on the ship - it will be announced in the TODAY newsletter.

Have heard that the cost of a taxi is about Euro 90. If you speak Italian it might be less.

I agree about taking the train from Genoa to Savona, it is inexpensive and relaxing. Once you get to Savona train station, you can take a taxi to the ship (about 11 Euros) or take the city bus (about 80 Euro cents). If you take the bus there is a little walk over a pedestrian bridge to get to the ship, so if you have a lot of luggage it probably is better to take the taxi from the train station. When you disembark, after the cruise, the city bus picks up directly in front of the ship and takes you to the train station. Unfortunately the train does not stop at Genoa Airport. You can take a taxi from the Genoa train station to the airport (about 15 Euros) or take the express bus (Volabus #100) for 3 Euros, leaving every twenty minutes.

Enjoy your cruise.
