Taxi Ride from Lahania, Maui to Black Rock Beach?

Hi all,

 

Does anyone know how much a taxi ride costs from Lahania ports to Black Rock (Kaanapali)?

 

Also information online is conflicting... are there public changerooms/washrooms at Black Rock?

You don't need to take a taxi. There is a shuttle that runs from Lahaina to Ka'anapali. I'm not sure if it has multiple drop off points though. I know it goes to Whalers Village, which is just a walk down the beachwalk from the Sheraton. It's 4 or 5 miles from Lahaina to the Sheraton (Black Rock is right there). I don't know how much a taxi would be if that's what you decide to do; I'm going to guess somewhere around $15, but I just don't have a clue.

 

As for public restrooms, I don't remember seeing any right there. However, most of the resorts have outdoor showers to rinse off sand so guests don't track extra indoors. You could also use the restrooms in one of the resorts. (I know that we have done that.)

Taxi was a bit over $20. I'd recommend a shuttle bus. We rented a car for the day for $24 from Enterprise.
