We found it easy to do the Hop On Hop Off Boat for Stockholm. You catch it right at the pier and it will take you to the Vasa and other stops.

In Helsinki we took the bus from the pier to the Rock Church. Very interesting site. Then we took the tram to Market Square. It's very easy to do on your own.

Thanks!

Do you remember the cost per person for the Hop On Hop off Boat in Stockholm? Also, did it start running at 8:00, right when the ship docked and was there a long line of people trying to use it?

For Helsinki - did you need to get tokens from a machine before entering the bus or tram?

I got my credit card bill today for the Hoho boat. It was 100 krona each x 2 = $27.95

We took the boat around 9:20, first stopped at Gamma Stan, Old Town. Wandered the streets, very picturesque. It was a Sunday, many shops were closed, but there is still much to see. We saw the changing of the guards at the palace.

Our second stop was the Vasa Museum. After the Vasa some friends got off at the small Tivoli park, we were ready to go back to the ship.

In Helsinki we bought the day pass from the driver and used it for one bus ride and 2 tram rides. I believe the cost was 7 euros for the day. We rode the tram around the city seeing what there is to see.
